Former Presbyterian Manse, 54 Bolea Road, Limavady, Co Londonderry, BT49 OQT

This is a late Victorian style house with a matching stable block, built between 1880 and 1899. The house is a two-storey gabled structure with an attic, covered in slate. It originally had three bays, with a central front door protected by a pedimented distyle porch. The original construction included bold quoin stones, but the exterior is now largely covered in modern, slightly textured white rendering. A chimney is situated in each gable. The windows originally had painted plastered surrounds, but have been replaced with PVC frames, and the main ground floor windows at the front have been enlarged. A small window provides light to the attic in the west gable. The rear windows are arranged in an unusual, though pleasing, pattern.

Behind the house is a well-designed, two-storey stable block built of basalt with fine brick detailing around the openings, and covered in slate. A central gateway is included within the stable block. The buildings stand within a pleasant and well-maintained garden.

The manse was likely constructed in 1896, possibly on the site of an earlier building. The stable block was built at the same time to serve the church congregation. The property has changed hands multiple times, passing from the church to Mr J Clements, then to Canon Scott, and finally to the current owners.
