Mullane House, 65 Bolea Road, Limavady, Co Londonderry, BT49 0QT

Mullane House is an early Victorian villa, likely dating from around 1840. The main façade presents a pleasing proportion, though later insensitive renovations and an extension have altered its original appearance.

The two-storey house is three bays wide and has a white-rendered exterior. It features a slated, hipped roof with two internal chimneys positioned on either side of the entrance hall. The rear elevation has a gabled form with a gable chimney and a ridge at a lower level than the main roof. A single-storey extension with a low-pitched roof is situated in the south-facing internal angle of the rear return. The central entrance is distinguished by an elliptical fanlight and full-height sidelights. A single-storey, canted bay window is attached to the north gable. Recent renovations include modern plasterwork, new windows and a new entrance door, and the extension features a contemporary glazed door and a modern window. The house is approached via an avenue from the north side. Behind the house are three ranges of single-storey slated outbuildings constructed of basalt with redbrick detailing around the openings. These are followed by modern barns. The building is privately owned.
