Description
Four-storey with attic, three bay (at ground level) twin gabled building in red brick with red sandstone banding and detailing, built in 1887 for the linen manufacturer John Douglas. Central door-case with swags of linen and roses pinned to base of canted oriel corbelled out at first floor and rising to parapet at third. Twin gables have raised parapet with kneelers – roof covering not visible. Replacement aluminium shop front and entrance door with external roller shutters housed behind signage. Replacement windows to upper floors. Those to first floor are paired segmental windows set within segmental recess, those to second floor are paired square headed set within square headed recess with those to third floor and attic storey segmental (attic storey paired).
