Description
A small World War II observation post, constructed between 1940 and 1959, is located at the edge of a field north of Craigboy Road, approximately one mile south of Donaghadee, County Down. It is a six-sided concrete structure with a flat roof, faced in concrete slabs. The east face is wider than the other sides, featuring two small window slots (originally fitted with steel shutters) and a low central doorway with a steel door. The remaining faces also have similar window slots. This observation post was built during World War II as part of Northern Ireland's coastal defenses. The building is now derelict.
