This is a small, plain, single-story dwelling, likely built before 1834 and exhibiting vernacular characteristics. It is situated at the northern edge of Shore Road in Ballymacruise, Millisle. The house is part of a short, single-story block.

The north-facing facade has three sash windows with what are described as "Georgian" panes, and a timber-sheeted door to the far right. The east gable features a small modern window. A small lean-to kitchen extension is located at the rear, with a modern door and window on its east face. A modern window is located to the left of the extension on the main house. The facade is finished with plain render, and the pitched roof is covered in corrugated “iron,” with two small rendered chimney stacks and PVC rainwater goods. A low, rendered, curving wall borders the front of the property, while a high, rendered wall to the rear encloses a small yard.

The house is depicted on Ordnance Survey maps from 1833/4 and 1858-60 and is likely one of 67 single-story houses noted in the Ordnance Survey Memoirs of around 1832-4. Historical records from the 1830s and 1860s detail the property’s valuation and ownership. The Mulholland family acquired land in the Millisle area in the 1840s, and leases potentially relating to this property may be found within the Dunleath Papers at PRONI. Photographs from the early twentieth century show the house along with a nearby flour mill.
