Ballyrickard Bridge, (formerly over railway), Moate Road, Ballyrickard, Comber, Co. Down, BT23 4XA

This sandstone road bridge, constructed between 1848 and 1850, carries the Moate Road over a former railway line or tunnel approximately 1.5 miles northeast of Comber. The bridge is built of rock-faced, dressed sandstone. The archway on the northeast side is largely filled in, as the adjacent cutting has been backfilled. Battered piers flank the arch, and a slightly projecting course sits above it, with coping along the parapet. On the southwest side, the railway appears to have run underground, leaving only a low sandstone wall, now obscured by rubble and greenery. The road surface itself is covered in tarmac.

The bridge formed part of the Belfast & County Down Railway, connecting Belfast, Comber, and Newtownards, which opened in May 1850 and was subsequently abandoned in 1953. The bridge appears to have spanned a tunnel section of the railway line. It possesses industrial archaeological interest, reflecting its role in the railway's infrastructure.
