Description

Former railway bridge (over a narrow lane), to the W of a new housing estate (‘Landsdowne Estate’) roughly a mile S of Newtownards. This bridge is in coursed rock faced sandstone with a semicircular arch with V-jointed voussoirs. Both faces of the bridge are largely overgrown and little can be seen, but there are curved approaches to each side with abutments. There is coping to the parapet with a projecting band beneath. The top of the bridge appears to be overgrown.
