This building is a ground-floor section of a two-story, semi-detached house currently operating as a post office. It is located at 11 Main Street, in a short terrace of three gabled properties at the northern end of Main Street in Kircubbin, County Down. The buildings likely date between 1820 and 1839.

The front (eastern) façade features a central glazed shop door flanked by two large, modern six-pane shop windows. A PVC post office sign is positioned above the door and windows, with an internally illuminated PVC projecting sign to the left. The façade is rendered in limestone chip render. A modern-style pillar box is situated to the left of number 11.

A terrace of buildings is depicted on an Ordnance Survey map of 1834, showing a post office at number 11, a location it has maintained to the present day. A photograph from around 1910, part of the Green Collection, portrays the buildings in a similar appearance to how they stand now, with comparable door and window openings. Notably, the entrance to number 13 was previously embellished with pilasters, a lintel, and a cornice, which have since been removed. A 'flying lease' applies to this property, affecting number 9 (HB24/02/001A).
