Description
The Henry Byrd chest tomb is located in the churchyard about 17 metres south-west of the west door of the Church of St Michael. This chest tomb is made of red sandstone and features a flat top with a steeply chamfered cornice. The west end is inscribed with "Henry Byrd Dyed . . .4." in good lettering, although the inscription is slightly damaged and sunk.
