Description
A First World War memorial, dating from 1922; further inscriptions added after Second World War.
DESCRIPTION: the memorial is carved from granite and takes the form of a Celtic-style wheel cross set on a square plinth with a two-stepped base. The structure stands on a square slab. The front (east) face of the plinth is inscribed: TO THE MEMORY OF THE MEN/ OF THIS PARISH WHO FELL IN THE/ GREAT WAR 1914-1918./ (NAMES). Immediately below, on the upper step, is the inscription: SECOND WORLD WAR 1939-1949./ (NAMES).
