Description

No 5 Church Street is a house that is part of a row, built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of random rubble with a pantile roof, featuring a stone course at the eaves and a brick ridge stack on the right side. The facade is slightly stepped forward from the adjoining cottage on the left and is flush with the one on the right. The building has two storeys and one bay, with narrow paired sash windows that have glazing bars set in bead-moulded stone surrounds. There is a central stone-dividing mullion. The door opening also has a similarly moulded surround, and it contains a 19th-century vertical plank door with a small glazed panel.
