Description

The building comprises two attached cottages, dating back to the 16th century, with alterations in the 17th and 19th centuries. The construction utilizes rubble, with roughcast applied to Crossways, and features double-Roman tiled roofs. There are three brick stacks, with the stack to the right exhibiting an exposed rubble chimney breast and coped verges.

The cottages are single-storey with an attic; Crossways exhibits two two-light casement windows on the first floor, a similar single-light casement on the ground floor, and two three-light stone-mullioned windows with stopped labels. A central chamfered four-centred arch provides an entrance opening, with a plank door. The attached cottage to the left has two bays and two-light casements, including one in a gabled dormer window to the attic. A door opening is located to the right, with a 20th-century door and a tiled pentice supported by two wooden posts.
