Description

The road bridge over Dowlish Stream, located about 20 metres northwest of Millers Thatch, is possibly from the late 18th century. It is constructed from cut and squared ham stone and features a single semi-circular archway that sits on curved bank seats. The bridge has plain parapets with chamfered top stones, and there is an angled return on the northwest corner only. It is likely that the bridge was rebuilt when Moolham Mill was reconstructed around 1790.
