Description
The barn located 15 metres east of the Old Ansford Inn is part of Ansford Farm and is likely from the 18th century. It is constructed from Cary stone rubble that is roughly coursed, topped with a plain clay tile roof featuring a sawn stone ridge between coped gables. The north-west gable is adorned with a crocketted finial. The barn has two storeys and consists of four bays. On the south-west elevation, there are small single-light casements in the lower bays 1 and 3, while bay 2 has a small-pane casement window at the upper level. The lower bay 4 features a 3-light casement under a timber lintel, which was once a wide doorway. Additionally, there is a 20th-century lean-to on the north-east side.
