Description
This is an unknown chest tomb located in the churchyard, 5 metres east of the chancel of the Church of St George. It dates from the early 17th century and is constructed from stone ashlar. The tomb features a flat top with a cyma moulded cornice that has diamond patterns in the frieze. It has single arcades with fluted pilasters on the east and west ends, and three-bay arcades on the north and south sides. The inscriptions on all sides are illegible, and the east end was overgrown with ivy at the time of the survey in June 1983. The tomb is partially sunk into the ground.
