Description

The Christopher Gardener monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, about 20 meters west of the tower of the Church of St. Mary and All Saints. Although the exact date is unclear, it is likely from the mid-18th century. The monument is made of dressed stone and features a partially sunken oblong chest with fluted pilasters and a slab top. Inscriptions on the tomb are obscured by lichen, but one can be found on the north side, dedicated to Christopher Gardener.
