Description
The churchyard cross located in the churchyard of the Church of St Mary and All Saints dates back to the 13th century. It is made of dressed stone and features a square socket with an upper face that is octagonal, adorned with bold convex broaches. The shaft has a square section that tapers and includes angle shafts, which terminate in attached crocketted pinnacles. At the top of the shaft, there is a portion of a carved corbel, although the calvary and head are missing. This cross is designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument (Somerset County No. 360) and is referenced in Pooley's "Old Crosses of Somerset" from 1877.
