Description

ST4715 NORTON SUB HAMDON CP CHURCH LANE (End) 9/185 Quantock monument in churchyard, about 5 metres south-west of porch, Church of St. Mary the Virgin - GV II Chest tomb. Early C18, Ham stone. Moulded plinth one plain panel each end and 2 each flank, with fluted Ionic-capped pilasters, no frieze; deep moulded coving to hipped top with rounded leading edges. Commemorates James Quantock, died 1716.
