Description

Stathe Farmhouse is a farmhouse and adjoining outbuilding, now a dwelling, dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is built of red brick in Flemish bond with a squared and coursed lias plinth. The roof is covered with triple Roman tiles and features Ham stone coped verges. There are brick stacks on the left gable end and to the right of the entrance. The building has a parallel range with an outshot at the rear, and a parallel range outbuilding on the east front.

The south front is two storeys high and consists of three bays, all featuring three-light casements with stone cills, except for a two-light window above the central entrance. The entrance itself has a six-panel door with inserted lights and is sheltered by a flat-roofed wooden columnar porch. The outbuilding on the south front has no windows. This farmhouse is a good example of typical architecture in this area.
