8/32 Ford House Restaurant (formerly listed as Ford House, Churchinford) 25.2.55 II

House, now hotel. Circa 1800, some alterations when restored late C20. Rendered over rubble, flat ashlar window surrounds, ashlar porch, slate roofs, coped verges, brick stacks to left of entrance, left gable end and on wing at rear. L-plan, kitchen wing at rear, gable end of stair projecting in angle. Two storeys with inserted storey end bay left, 6 bays, tiff fenestration end bay left, otherwise 16-pane sashes with 12-pane in third bay above flat roofed ashlar Doric porch, 6-panel door. Low, 2-storey addition end bay left, C20 fenestration. Rear elevation: pointed arch head 16-pane sash window with divided tracery lighting stairs, C20 lean-to addition below, gable end left 16-pane sash windows, 2 and 3-light casements to right. Interior: partially seen, stick stair with cut string.
