Description

Nos 88 and 90 on High Street are a pair of cottages, likely dating from the 17th century. They are two storeys tall, with one cottage featuring a front made of coursed rubble and the other being plastered. The roof is made of undulating pantiles and has a large central brick chimney. Each cottage has six windows, which are wooden casements with three lights each and include glazing bars. There is an inserted shop window to the left of No 90, and both properties have recessed central doorways. These cottages, along with Nos 86 to 90 (even), Nos 2 and 4 Bove Town, and the Summer House and Drinking Fountain on Lambrook Street, form a group of buildings of historical significance.
