Description

No. 65 on High Street is a building that likely dates from the mid-19th century. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed of red brick with a stone-faced front. The roof is slate, and there is a dentilled cornice. The facade features two windows that are set in projecting surrounds with sills supported by brackets. To the left on the ground floor, there is a canted bay with three lights. The windows are sashes without glazing bars. To the left, there is a modern shop front, while to the right, a doorway is located under a hood with elaborate curved brackets, leading to a six-panel door. This building is listed for its group value, as it forms part of a group with Nos. 51 to 69 (odd numbers).
