Description
Corner Cottage is a house that primarily features early 19th century elements, although its core is older. It is constructed of random rubble and has a hipped and gabled pantile roof with a coped verge and two brick stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with predominantly four-pane sash windows, except for a two-light stone-mullioned window on the left side of the ground floor and two small 20th century casements. The door opening is nearly central and features a 20th century half-glazed door. There is a single bay return to Long Street, which has flush mounted 16-pane sash windows under wooden lintels. The cottage is primarily noted for its group value within the surrounding area.
