ST30NW TATWORTH AND FORTON CP FORTON

8/91 Outbuilding about 10s south-west of Evenlode -

GV II Stables now garage and storeroom. Early-mid C19 altered late C20. Random rubble local stone, giving brick dressings, double-Roman tiled roof, Ham stone coped verges with ball finials. Plan: loft over stables and tack room, latter now garage. Two storeys, 2 loft openings, below eaves left, ground floor segmental headed openings; 3-light leaded iron casements flanking pair of stable doors, inserted garage door end bay right. Rear elevation: central loft opening, below eaves, also with brief: dressings, iron ties unlit north-west gable end fronting road. Primarily listed for group value with Evenlode (q.v) to north-east.
