Description

38 to 42 East Reach is a terrace of houses built in the mid-19th century, featuring stucco and rendered exteriors. The buildings are three storeys high and have a continuous slate roof with an eaves band. Notably, No 40 has banded quoins. There are six windows with architrave surrounds, and cornices with pulvinated friezes are positioned above the first-floor windows. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, and there is a variety of 19th-century shop fronts. This terrace is included for its group value, as it forms a cohesive group with Nos 38 to 45.
