Description
Windsor House is a house that has been converted into a doctor's surgery. It was built in the early to mid-19th century and has undergone some later alterations. The building is constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond, with the front stuccoed, and it features a Welsh slate roof.
The house has three storeys and consists of one bay. To the left, there are concrete steps with simple, old iron handrails leading up to a round-arched entrance. This entrance has a six-panel door beneath a fanlight with radial glazing bars, and a late 20th-century lantern is hung above it. The central feature is a two-storey tripartite bow window, which dates from around 1970 and has curved sashes consisting of 12 panes flanked by 8 panes. This window has projecting sills, cornices, friezes, and a flat metal roof. On the second floor, there is a short tripartite sash window with a 6-pane window flanked by two 2-pane windows. The building has banded end stacks.
Inside, there is a late 19th-century lobby door, a light rose, a hall arch, a front-room fireplace, and a dog-leg stair.
