Description

Coxley House is a small country house, likely dating to the late 18th century, although an earlier core may exist. The house is rendered with a double Roman tile roof, overhanging verges, brick stacks, a moulded stone cornice, and a parapet with coping. It is two storeys high with an attic, and has three bays. The windows are 6-pane casements set within moulded stone architraves with emphasised keys. There are roof windows. A door opening is located between the second and third bays, with a stone doorcase featuring a triangular pediment supported by three-quarter engaged Corinthian columns. The door itself is six-panelled, with the top two panels glazed. A tall Flemish bond brick wall runs along the right-hand side, bordering the road. Ornamental wrought-iron railings and gates project at right angles to the left.
