Description
79A High Street is a small house that is set back from the street. It may date from the 17th century or earlier, with a later 18th-century front. The building is constructed of rendered rubble and has a pantile roof.
The exterior features two storeys, with a small single-light casement window at the centre of the first floor. Below this, there is one small light window, a plank door to the left, and a six-panel fielded door to the right, which is framed by thin pilasters and topped with an open pediment hood. A stack is located on the left gable.
The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest. Access to the cottage is through a central passageway that leads to Nos 77 and 79, which are not included in this listing, and there is a small enclosed courtyard between the two properties.
