Description
The barns and other farm buildings attached to the south side of Hurcott Farmhouse are likely from the 18th century. They are constructed from ham stone, with the southern barn featuring rubble, and the link building having roughly cut and squared stone. The main barn has a plain gabled roof covered with plain clay tiles, while the link wing has a Welsh slate roof between stepped coped gables. The two buildings are positioned at right angles to each other, with the main barn running parallel to the farmhouse. The barn consists of six bays and has an arched collar and tie-beam trussed roof, with a throughway leading to the fourth bay. The link wing is two storeys tall and has been modified, with a single-storey unit connecting it to the farmhouse. This range of buildings holds significant group value with the farmhouse.
