Description
No. 21 High Street is a house dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of rubble Doulting stone and features a gabled roof covered with patent double Roman clay tiles. The house has two ashlar stone chimney stacks on the ridge, which have been extended in brickwork.
The front of the house is two stories tall and has three windows, with the entrance located between the second and third windows. The entrance consists of a six-panel door, with the top two panels glazed and set within a bead-moulded stone square head frame. The windows are from the 19th and 20th centuries, set in stone frames. To the right of the door, there is a 12-pane sash window beneath a wooden lintel, and above it, there is a two-light stone mullioned window featuring an 8-pane sash and a casement.
