Description

The Baptist Church in Minehead is a chapel built around 1821 and enlarged in 1902. The original part of the building is made of stucco and features a low-pitched slate roof. It has a rectangular plan with extensions added to the front in 1902 and to the rear around 1980. The church is a single storey with a two-window range. The original building is mostly obscured by the 20th-century extension, but the right side remains visible. This section has a dentilled cornice above a projecting Doric porch, which is now enclosed, and is flanked by tall semicircular arched windows with small coloured panes. The interior has not been inspected.
