Description
East Farmhouse is a farmhouse from the 18th century, possibly remodelled from earlier work. It is constructed from local lias stone that is roughly squared and coursed, with plain clay tiles on the roof between stepped coped gables. The north gable features a gabletted finial, while the south corner has a hipped roof. The building has a central stone chimney stack and is designed in an L-plan. It has two storeys with an attic and consists of three bays. The windows are sash style in plain openings with timber lintels, featuring 24, 16, and 16 panes above and 6 panes below. In the second bay, there is a 6-panel door with glazed toplights, which is sheltered by a 19th-century flat-roofed open porch supported by stone columns with quasi-Ionic capitals. There is an outshut at the rear. The interior has not been seen.
