Description
Manor Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century with modifications. It is built of local stone that is cut and squared almost to ashlar, with Ham stone dressings. The roof is plain clay tiled with a stone ridge between coped gables, and there are stone end and intermediate chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has four bays.
The windows are hollow chamfered mullioned types with four-centre arched leaded lights, featuring three lights in both the first, third, and fourth bays on both levels. There is a moulded pointed arch doorway in the second bay, with a simpler two-light window above and a plain single light window to the side. A 20th-century door has been cut into the north gable, next to a single-light window that is now blocked; above this is a stairlight, and the attic gable has a two-light mullioned window that matches the front. The rear elevation, which was formerly a separate cottage, has been much altered, with concrete tiles replacing thatch.
