Description
The Nature Conservancy Council Offices, originally Roughmoor Farmhouse, is a building from the 17th century that was enlarged in the late 18th century and extensively restored in the late 20th century. The building features a rendered exterior, a hipped slate roof, and brick stacks. It has a plan that runs East-West and has been refronted at the South-West end. The structure is two storeys high with three bays, showcasing 16-pane sash windows and a central flat-roofed wooden Doric portico with pilaster responds and a fanlight, along with a 20th-century half-glazed door. To the right, there is a plain tiled farmhouse wing. The long rear elevation has eight bays and retains four pointed arched two-light leaded casements with divided tracery at the North-West end. Inside, there is a stick stair.
