Description
Bridge House is a mill and millhouse that has been converted into a dwelling, dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. The building is rendered, possibly over brick, and features a bitumen-covered single pitch slate roof on the millhouse, with a brick stack rising from the eaves on the right. At the rear, there is a double Roman tiled mill building. The structure has a plan consisting of a two-cell and cross passage millhouse that fronts a three-storey mill at the back. It is two storeys high and has three bays, with early 19th-century leaded iron casements, some of which have quadrant stays, and a central timber plank door. There is a loft opening on the right return to the mill. The waterwheel has been removed, and the interior has not been seen. A buff-coloured brick addition on the left return is not included in the listing.
