Description
The walls, gate piers, and piers in front of the Manor House date from the 18th century and the mid-19th century. The outer sections are made of red Flemish bond brick, standing about 2 meters high, with a plinth at the west end, brick coping, and a segmental headed opening featuring a ribbed plank door at the west end. At the east end, there is a square-headed moulded limestone doorcase with a keystone, although the base of the jambs is eroded. This section also includes a panelled door and a carriageway entrance. The square brick piers, approximately 2.5 meters high, have pyramid caps. The central section, built in the mid-19th century, is about 14 meters long and features gate piers at the west end, constructed with pale buff bricks and sandstone quoins. The square piers are arranged in a 1:7 bay pattern and have moulded caps, although the caps at the end right and second left are missing.
