Description

This building, located at the corner of The Parade and Bancks Street in Minehead, is an office structure dating from around 1870. It is constructed of snecked rubblestone with ashlar dressings and features a slate roof with rubblestone stacks at the right gable end, ridge, and left front slope. The building is designed in the Gothic Revival style and has a rectangular plan, standing two storeys high with attics and a three-window range.

The windows are sash style, with trefoil heads on the upper sashes and two vertical glazing bars in each sash. The central section of the building rises to a gabled half dormer. To the left, there is a door with a labelled hoodmould above a frieze of four trefoil-headed panels, leading to a set-back door with a pointed arch. To the centre and right, tall pointed arches frame trefoil-headed plate glass shop windows.

On the left side facing Bancks Street, there is a similar central half-dormer, flanked by gables that feature windows similar to those on the front. The first floor has four windows, while the ground floor has five shop windows that match those at the front. The interior has not been inspected.
