Description

Powlett House is an 18th century red-brick building of three storeys. It was altered in the 19th century, with the addition of round-headed windows and terra-cotta decoration. The building has a dentil cornice to the parapet and banded quoins. It features four windows with stepped voussoirs and sash windows without glazing bars. Two windows have been blocked on the right-hand side, and these spaces are decorated with rosettes and cartouches. A good Tuscan doorcase, with a triglyph frieze and pediment, provides access to a six-panel door. A side elevation is visible to the right. Powlett House forms a group with Nos. 31A, 32, 33, 33A and 34.
