Description

Nos 43 and 44 on High Street are a pair of mid-19th century buildings featuring a well-preserved ashlar front. They rise three storeys and are adorned with a cornice band and pilasters, including two central pilasters that flank an incised panel decorated with volutes and an anthemion motif. The buildings have two windows, each with architrave surrounds and sash frames that include glazing bars. There are also two shop fronts, likely built at the same time, which are separated by a central passageway.
