Description

This is a detached cottage, probably from the 18th century, located 15 metres north of Ciderpress Farmhouse in Long Sutton. It is built from local lias stone that is roughly squared and features a thatched roof with plain gables and brick end chimney stacks. The cottage is positioned at an odd angle to the road, with a chamfered southwest corner. It has two storeys and three bays. The windows are leaded casements with two lights on the lower level, set under timber lintels, and smaller three-light leaded casements above, which include central iron-framed opening lights. Between the second bay and the boarded door in a heavy frame, there is also a timber lintel. A 20th-century extension has been added to the rear. The interior has not been seen.
