Description
Newbridge is an early 19th-century house located on the west side of New Road in North Curry. The building features roughcast over rubble and has a bitumen-covered double Roman tiled roof with coped verges on the left gable end, while the right gable end has been removed. It is a double pile structure with two storeys and three bays. The house has 12-pane sash windows, and above the central gabled porch, there is a 16-pane sash window. The entrance includes a 19th-century studded plank door with decorative hinges. Newbridge is primarily listed for its historic interest due to its connection with the reclamation of the flood plain of the River Tone.
