Description

The Manor House and Manor End are two dwellings, originally built as a rectory in the early 19th century and altered in the mid-20th century. The building has a roughcast exterior, a shallow-pitched hipped roof covered in bitumen and slate, overhanging eaves with paired brackets, and brick stacks located centrally. It also includes a hipped slate roof to a service wing. The plan is double pile with a service wing on the right.

The main facade is composed of two storeys, with a central bay projecting forward. To the right is a lower 2-storey, 2-bay block having segmental headed 9-pane sash windows. The main block features tripartite sash window openings in the outer bays that have been converted to casements on the first floor, a central 12-pane sash window, and ground floor 12-pane tripartite sash windows with casements inserted into the side lights. A central 20th-century door is set within a projecting semi-circular porch with a flat roof supported by paired columns and two steps of blue lias.

Inside, the staircase has cast iron balusters. This building was built as the rectory and was sold in the mid-20th century; it was never a manor house.
