Description
The churchyard cross, located in the churchyard 8 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of St George, dates from the 15th century and has been significantly restored. It is primarily made of dressed sandstone, with some blue lias. The structure features two octagonal steps leading up to a large square socket that has an octagonal upper face and bold convex broaches. The shaft is tapering and octagonal, although the head is missing. This cross is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument (Somerset County No 362).
