Description
The entrance gateway to Brympton House, located about 35 meters south-west of High Leaze Farmhouse, is likely from the 18th century. It is constructed from raw stone ashlar, with some cut and squared work. The gateway features two bold convex curved sweep walls that are approximately 1.2 meters high, with angled stone copings and plain ends framing the entrance. The piers, which are about 5 meters apart, have a square plan and stand around 3.5 meters tall, adorned with cavetto mould caps, two steps, and ball finials. The side walls sweep up to the piers. The gates are currently missing.
