Description
Hoccombe Mill is a former fulling mill and miller's house that has been converted into a dwelling. It dates from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. The building is constructed of colourwashed random rubble, with concrete tiles on the house and a slate roof on the mill. The millhouse faces southeast and is attached to the mill at the rear. It is two stories high and has three bays. The first floor features two-light leaded casement windows under wooden lintels, while the ground floor has a three-light window flanking a central plank door with a glazed opening. There is an early 19th-century wooden porch with a gabled slate roof and decorative pierced bargeboards and sides. The mill no longer contains any machinery, as it is now part of the dwelling.
