Description
The wall at right angles to the frontage of Lambrook House, located along Silver Street in East Lambrook, dates from the 18th century and incorporates a reused doorway from the 17th century. It is constructed from coursed and squared rubble and freestone. In the center of the wall, there is a doorway framed by a moulded surround featuring a four-centre arch head, which leads to a plank gate. At the southern end of the wall, there are two tall ashlar piers topped with pyramidal caps, which support a pair of 19th-century wooden gates. To the north, there is another similar gateway that includes iron gates.
