Description
The wall extending southeast from Lambourne Hall is a Grade II listed structure dating from the 16th century and later. It stretches approximately 15 meters from the front of Lambourne Hall. The wall is constructed of red brick with lime mortar, featuring English bond up to about 2 meters high, which dates to the 16th century. Above this, there is a section in Flemish bond that dates from the 18th or 19th century, rising about 1 meter higher. Near the house, there is a doorway approximately 1 meter wide, which is adjacent to 20th-century brickwork at the southeast end. On the southwest side, the wall includes three bee boles, positioned 1.12 meters above the ground, each with arched heads that have a four-centred curvature. The interiors of the bee boles are thinly plastered, although the plaster has now decayed. Each bee bole measures 44 centimeters wide, 43 centimeters high, and 24 centimeters deep.
