Description
The wall to the east of Lambeth Palace courtyard, built around 1835, is a tall stock brick structure topped with stone coping and features battlements. It has two entrance arches with ornamental iron gates. Behind the wall, there is a U-shaped arrangement of two-storey stock brick cottages, which have Welsh slate roofs and small sash windows with glazing bars. The cottages also feature glazed doors set in pilaster and entablature surrounds with cornice hoods. Some rebuilding has occurred due to war damage. This structure is included mainly for its group value.
