Description
Nos 24 to 28 on Silver Street is a fine building with a brown brick front, likely dating from the very early 19th century. The central three-storey block is set back and features a cornice and parapet, with a pediment above the centre section. The ground floor has round-headed windows, while the central windows are blocked. The sashes have glazing bars. There is a projecting brick porch with a pediment that appears to have been added later, along with elliptical-headed doorways and double four-panel doors. The side wings are two-storey extensions with three windows each; the southern wing is located at the corner with Mansfield Road, and the northern wing has a small shop window inserted. Nos 24 to 29 form a group.
