Description
Wayside and Willow Dene are two attached houses built in the 18th century. On the right is Wayside, which features rendered coped verges and a slate roof with end brick stacks, one of which has a moulded cap. This house is two storeys high with two bays, showcasing 16-pane sash windows with stepped voussoirs. The entrance is located to the right of the front, consisting of a 6-panelled door with the top three panels glazed, and it is partially covered by a pedimented wooden hood supported by brackets.
To the left is Willow Dene, which has colourwashed Flemish Bond brickwork and a pantile roof with a coped verge on the left and brick ridge stacks. This house is also two storeys tall and has three bays, featuring three-light casements with horizontal glazing bars, except for the ground floor window on the right, which has five lights. The central door opening consists of a 6-panelled door with the top two panels glazed, and there is a 20th-century lean-to porch with a double Roman tile roof.
